Neritina natalensis, or Nerite snail, are freshwater snails that are common in the aquarium hobby as they are well-known for being excellent algae eaters. They will eat algae off of glass, substrate, and décor and will note eat live plants. They do not reproduce in freshwater (only brackish water) and hence will not overpopulate in an aquarium.
DO NOTE: Some of our Nerite Snails MIGHT have imperfect shells or a calcium deficiency, but this will gradually be fixed if you feed them a well-balanced diet with a good calcium source.
