These unique handcrafted Aquarium Dragonwood Bonsai Trees can be used along with various types of plants to mimic the foliage of a real bonsai tree , such as Anubias Nana, Anubias Nana Petite, Bucephalandra, Ferns and Aquatic Moss to mimic foliage on real bonsai trees. Aquatic Bonsai Trees are versatile and can used in any aquascape layout as a main focal point.
Dimensions are approximately 6"x8"x3", however this may vary as these are handmade, meaning that each Bonsai Tree is unique, and may vary in look slightly. The piece you will receive will be given at random since this an assorted listing!
- It is recommended that you let the wood soak before adding it to an aquarium to help release tannins, and to allow the wood to get waterlogged to help it sink.
- Even after soaking the wood, it may still release tannins for a period of time which can cause a slight yellow or brown tint to the water. (Tannins are actually super beneficial to fish as they are said to have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, preventing bacteria and diseases!)
- The pH of the water may be lowered as tannins are released.
- If you notice a white milky looking film growing all over the tree, don't panic! It's just bio-film and it's totally normal and is a natural food source for aquatic snails and shrimp!
