Mangroves are aquatic trees or shrubs that grow in the coastal waters of the world's tropical oceans. The Red Mangrove is a very versatile plant that can be grown in fresh, brackish, or saltwater tanks with its roots and part of its stalk submerged in water. They are relatively easy plants to grow but required medium-high lighting to thrive. The Red Mangrove can be planted in the sand or in between rocks in an open-topped aquarium, or it can be planted in an illuminated sump or hang-on-the-back-filter. Its roots should quickly form and take hold in the substrate or rock.
Note: One portion is 1 stalk, which is about 12"+ in height.
