Polygonum sp. 'Sao Paulo' is a rare aquatic plant that originates from Brazil. Its thin leaves can vary between green, purple, and red in color. It is one of the most intensely colored aquarium plants, and with high-intensity lighting, its leaves will develop a bright Magenta coloration. It can be grown either submerged as a midground or foreground plant, or emersed in a humid environment such as a terrarium or paludarium. However, it grows much quicker when grown emersed.
