The Dwarf Onion Plant (Zephyranthes candida) is a bulb plant that is similar in appearance to a scallion. It is a very hardy plant that tolerates a wide variety of water conditions and can be grown in lower lighting conditions. It grows grass-like leaves grow from a small onion-like bulb. When planting, you should leave at least one-third to one-half of the bulb uncovered to prevent it from rotting.
