Purple Cabomba, also known as Red Cabomba or Carolina Fanwort, has feathery, green to purple-grey forked leaves, which are divided into narrow segments and offer an interesting texture that will contrast well with other plants and driftwood. It is less common than Green Cabomba and has the potential to grow leaves with a redder hue in stronger lighting. Purple Cabomba is a densely growing plant that makes an excellent, natural background in a planted aquarium. It is an easy plant that works well for fish fry as it provides terrific cover for them.
