CARNIVOROUS PLANTS
Carnivorous plants, such as Pitcher Plants, Venus Fly Traps, and Sundews, derive some or most of their nutrients from trapping and consuming insects and other arthropods. They have adapted to grow in places where the soil is thin or poor in nutrients, especially nitrogen, such as acidic bogs, so we recommend only using water with little to no nutrients such as rain, reverse osmosis, or distilled water, and to always keep their substrate wet.
